Pluto
Dissonant plutonian aspects (non-dominant Pluto)
by Richard Pellard
English translation by Julien Rouger

The interpretation examples that we are suggesting are very far from being exhaustive : they only show and outline a general frame describing the issues of the aspect. They should therefore not be taken literally. Each being brings indeed its own responses, more or less original, to the questions raised by an aspect. There is no magic formula. Through using the R.E.T. and the Theory of Ages and combining logic, observation and imagination, you will be able to develop a thousand other possible meanings, a thousand other variations on the same theme.

Dissonant Pluto-Moon aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Moon ‘p’ ↔ Pluto ‘P’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when the Moon dominates : Concerned about preserving the fullness of a harmonious and balanced daily life, you become anxious at the very idea of the slightest irruption of the unknown in your familiar sphere. You hide in your “bubble” and cling desperately to your habits and supports, lest you see your little universe sneakily corroded by dark and threatening forces of disintegration. The fragile tranquility that you would like to maintain at all costs is crossed by shadows and dark perspectives, real or imaginary. Unable to tame the strange or the unknown, you tend to exclude it. Fear and visceral rejection of the Other, of the stranger, of the one in whom one cannot invest primitive trust. You can thus try to ward off the nameless despair that torments you from the inside by adopting chilly gregarious behavior. You can still live in constant suspicion of an invisible plot directed against you.

Dissonant Pluto-Sun aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Sun ‘P’ ↔ Pluto ‘P’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when the Sun dominates : you armor yourself in the universe of your principles, models and ideals to ward off the threat of the unknown, of nothingness, of the absurd or of disorder. Your vigilant conscience, anxious to maintain your intellectual or cultural achievements, is on the lookout for the slightest grain of sand likely to derail the cogs of your universe. You believe you can roll back the inextricable complexity of beings and things by brandishing against it your simplistic and reductive explanations. You fear above all anonymity, obscurity and insignificance. To avoid having to plunge into the dizzying depths of your being, you rely on appearing, as if the affirmation of your individuality were a viaticum against death. Uncertain of your real identity, you play your role with dignity, childishly hoping never to disappear behind the scenes.

Dissonant Pluto-Mercury aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Mercury ‘tR’ ↔ Pluto ‘tT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Mercury dominates : through your gossip, your fantasies, your games and inconsequential curiosities, you seek to forget that reality is a dense and impenetrable mystery, without being able to quite achieve it. The unknown, the secret and the hidden fascinate you and worry you at the same time. With joyous desperation and black humor, you spend your time asking a thousand questions, impertinent in every sense of the word, which you know very well, deep down, that they will not have and do not deserve an answer. You get lost and crumble in the endless maze of your unrealistic speculations. You are afraid of behind the scenes that your wild curiosity risks at any time, and as in spite of yourself, to make you discover. Believing to flush out the mystery, you are in fact the hostage of your imagination. You are an expert in nonsense and other nonsense, in whom dark ulterior motives interfere with communication.

Dissonant Pluto-Venus aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Venus ‘eR’ ↔ Pluto ‘tT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Venus dominates : you experience an anxious, worried, suspicious affectivity. You always have the impression that the chosen ones in your heart are hiding something from you and track down, misinterpret or overinterpret their unspoken words, their absences, their silences. You live in the obsessive fear of seeing your feelings betrayed, flouted, annihilated by some dark and threatening fatality. Your likes and dislikes, sympathy and epidermal antipathies incline you to flee or fear different beings, unknown things or strange situations. You are tempted to enjoy to the full, to abandon yourself without restraint to your voluptuous desires and temptations or to make love, or art, the only possible ramparts against death. Your painful sensitivity seems to forbid you any cold lucidity. You rely on charm and seduction in a vain hope of forgetting or repressing the vertigo of being and the invisible.

Dissonant Pluto-Mars aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Mars ‘P’ ↔ Pluto ‘P’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Mars dominates : you deploy constant activism to ward off your metaphysical despair, your intuition of the vanity and nothingness of all things, or to avoid being confronted with the vertiginous silence of being-in-itself. You refuse and fight radically any cold distance that could prevent you from feeling that you exist stronger, more intense. You are capable of making and unmaking—even destroying—anything, in defiance of any profound universal truth. The complexity and mystery of beings, things and situations is reduced for you to an elementary duality, to a schematic combat in which you commit all your violence and your aggressiveness. You brandish your personal experience against the heavy laws of the species. Your abrupt and desperate realism respects nothing, neither itself, nor the sacred, nor the enigmatic order of the universe.

Dissonant Pluto-Jupiter aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Jupiter ‘rE’ ↔ Pluto ‘tT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Jupiter dominates : you adhere all the more strongly to the laws and norms that regulate life in society that you fear above all to be marginalized, rejected, sent back to the nothingness of an existence without a social showcase. Your alarmingly simplistic judgments and speeches seem to ignore the profound complexity of beings, things and situations. You feel that it is neither reasonable nor normal to display your difference, your singularity, your strangeness. You seem obsessed with satisfying your craving for glory and material appetites as quickly as possible, in defiance of all moral integrity, before death dispossessed you of everything. Your ambitions can be all the more ferocious and unbridled if they are built on contempt, rejection or ignorance of your deepest needs, your being-in-itself, your authenticity or universal values.

Dissonant Pluto-Saturn aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Saturn ‘tE’ ↔ Pluto ‘tT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Saturn dominates : you seek to ward off the absurdity or the nothingness of all reason or all knowledge by developing a cold rationalism rooted in experimental realism. You pathetically try to find, in your cold, deep and methodical investigations into matter and lived experience, the why and how of immaterial mysteries, metaphysical or otherwise, without being able to bring yourselves to the certainty that there are questions which have and never will have an answer. The complete unknown fascinates you and worries you at the same time, and with the same intensity. By your abstract reason or your painful and desperate romanticism, you try in vain to rebel against an obscure and implacable fatality, against the forces of chaos, disorder and nothingness. Solitary, melancholy, skeptical and misunderstood, you fear that your situation will get even worse…

Dissonant Pluto-Uranus aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Uranus ‘rT’ ↔ Pluto ‘tT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Uranus dominates : you want at all costs to convince yourself, and sometimes succeed, that it is possible for you to enclose the unfathomable mystery of beings, things and situations in an intuitively conceived totalitarian theory. You are affected by a reductionist paranoia which incites you to cut arbitrarily and abruptly in the thicket of complexities and in the labyrinth of enigmas of the universe in order to extricate from it clear, neat and flawless conceptions. Anguished by the idea of a total annihilation of your brilliant and proud individuality, you engage in a frantic and desperate race for absolute power. Confusing subtle and hidden order with disorder and chaos, you intransigently impose your vision of a coercive order, the sworn enemy of all anarchy. Unable to bear the thought of being mortal, you seek to ward it off by performing feats that he hopes will make you immortal.

Dissonant Pluto-Neptune aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Neptune ‘eT’ ↔ Pluto ‘tT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Neptune dominates : Prisoner of your chimeras, exalting utopias or interior or exterior intoxications, you are incapable of any deep and caustic lucidity. You sing in chorus and wholeheartedly with specters of sirens to ward off any threat of annihilation and tell you that with a little incarnate faith you can overcome death. You are ready to abandon yourself to any euphoric philosophy, mysticism or smoky and preferably collectivist ideology, likely to ward off your intuition of the inanity of all things. You navigate the stormy sea of your true intuitions and false clairvoyances, unable to unravel the confused and tangled skein of your complexities. You cling desperately to the raft of the jellyfish of your inspired or uninspired states of mind and to the visionary or fantastical productions of your imagination to delay as much as possible dark prospects that you refuse to really consider.

Les significations planétaires

par Richard Pellard

620 pages.
