Uranus
Dissonant uranian aspects (non-dominant Uranus)
by Richard Pellard
English translation by Julien Rouger

The interpretation examples that we are suggesting are very far from being exhaustive : they only show and outline a general frame describing the issues of the aspect. They should therefore not be taken literally. Each being brings indeed its own responses, more or less original, to the questions raised by an aspect. There is no magic formula. Through using the R.E.T. and the Theory of Ages and combining logic, observation and imagination, you will be able to develop a thousand other possible meanings, a thousand other variations on the same theme.

Dissonant Uranus-Moon aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Moon ‘p’ ↔ Uranus ‘rT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when the Moon dominates : in the name of a “naturalness” of which you make a transcendent, sacred and inviolable principle, you refuse any constraint, any rigor, any internal or external discipline. Your inconsistent daydreams are a rampart that protects you, do you believe, from any organized, hierarchical and consistent cerebrality. Stuck in an everyday life that satisfies your amorphous or lymphatic inclinations, you refuse the demanding and heroic efforts of will that you would have to accept to get out of it. This does not prevent you from sometimes giving in to capricious individualistic escapades, to sudden outbursts of authoritarianism without real significance or tomorrows. You refuse to affirm opinions that are too clear-cut and too clear-cut, for fear of jeopardizing the harmony of the atmospheres in which you tend to dissolve.

Dissonant Uranus-Sun aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Sun ‘rR’ ↔ Uranus ‘rT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when the Sun dominates : Convinced of the relevance and well-foundedness of your certainties, of your intellectual or cultural achievements, you are anxious at the idea of seeing the sudden emergence of a new discourse, a new body of doctrine likely to upset all your landmarks. For fear of losing admiration, esteem or public recognition, you refuse to make any statement that is too radical or too daring. In the name of your own principles and models whose arbitrariness you do not perceive, you denounce the arbitrariness of the norms and authorities that bother you. Believing that everything is due to you from the moment you appear, you forbid yourself an imperious and voluntary affirmation of yourself, “hussard-like” behavior. Paralyzed by your obsession with maintaining the status quo of your role, your function or your character, you always postpone important decisions and without appeal.

Dissonant Uranus-Mercury aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Mercury ‘tR’ ↔ Uranus ‘rT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Mercury dominates : you are incapable of channeling the clutter of your scattered ideas into a clear, organized, hierarchical intellectual construction. You claim the freedom to change views and opinions to the detriment of any deeply held and powerfully structured beliefs. Your unstable, messy and scattered curiosity prevents you from concentrating, from focusing your cerebral faculties on specific subjects. You flee in distraction, inconsequential chatter or in a thousand eccentric projects the radical and energetic decisions that are essential. Allergic to the spirit of the system and to discipline, you do not understand that the unconstrained freedom to which you are attached prohibits you from all creative independence. At worst, you behave like an amusing weakling troublemaker, incapable of imposing a stable and intransigent will.

Dissonant Uranus-Venus aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Venus ‘eR’ ↔ Uranus ‘rT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Venus dominates : you live under the yoke of an eruptive, volcanic, uncontrollable affectivity. Carried away by your imperious desires of the moment, you lose all self-control as soon as your likes and dislikes, likes and antipathies are at stake. When you love, when you become attached, the slightest moderation cannot be expected of you. Your exacerbated feelings impose a capricious and undisciplined dictatorship. You do not support in the chosen ones of your heart the slightest desire for independence. You experience your pleasures and voluptuousness in the greatest disorder, like a permanent challenge launched to any organized brain, to any rigorous life program. You take your claim to enjoy when you want and how you want for a manifestation of full autonomy and sovereign independence, while you are the slave of your senses and your burning desires.

Dissonant Uranus-Mars aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Mars ‘eE’ ↔ Uranus ‘rT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Mars dominates : you brandish your undisciplined experience against any form of audacious and organized cerebrality. You rush headlong into your activities, struggles and conflicts without bothering to develop a clear, precise and rigorous program beforehand. Absorbed by what you are doing mechanically in the immediate future, prisoner of your present situation, you are incapable of penetrating and synthetic views and blind to the emergence of fundamental movements which could radically upset your existence. You aggressively and arrogantly oppose your experience, your feelings and your down-to-earth common sense to any powerfully structured theory, which you consider a vain construction of the mind. You are viscerally undisciplined and resistant to any authority that you quickly assimilate to despotism. You recklessly embark on impossible challenges.

Dissonant Uranus-Jupiter aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Jupiter ‘rE’ ↔ Uranus ‘rT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Jupiter dominates : you conform so perfectly to the laws and norms that regulate social life that you become incapable of expressing a personal, bold and innovative opinion. Against the intuitive and penetrating views of the mind, you oppose your simplistic common sense. An unrepentant talker, anxious to maintain the consensus of your group at all costs, you argue and negotiate excessively to preserve your prerogatives and your authority, refusing to take the clear-cut decisions that are sometimes necessary. You are against any radical revolution, any untimely upheaval, for the maintenance of your acquired privileges and your established power. Your ambitions, voracious and short-sighted, your unbridled opportunism prohibit you from any strategy of long-term conquest, any extreme intellectual or moral rigor.

Dissonant Uranus-Saturn aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Saturn ‘tE’ ↔ Uranus ‘rT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Saturn dominates : you are so absorbed by the many questions that you ask yourself about your life or your experiences that you are unable to find firm and convincing answers to them. You rationalize ad infinitum, constantly complicate your reasoning in an obstinate refusal to put a brilliant and effective end to your adventurous questions. Your skepticism, your doubts, your caution and your excess of foresight prohibit you from any daring initiative, any decision taken on the blow of a dazzling intuition. You fear the sudden and unexpected irruptions of the unknown in a universe whose enigmas you laboriously try to decipher to protect yourself from chance. Refractory loner, forever dissatisfied researcher, philosopher of failure or unrepentant romantic, you cannot or do not want to impose your ideas.

Dissonant Uranus-Neptune aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Uranus ‘rT’ ↔ Neptune ‘eT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Neptune dominates : you live in a complete fog, indifferent or blind to the slightest light that could emerge from it and illuminate it, in a total confusion of senses, spirit and values. Your inner world is an inextricable mess, a tumultuous shambles where intuitions, moods, imaginary productions and utopias pile up and mix pell-mell, in a total lack of order, hierarchy and organization. Haunted by your aspiration for a chimerical or improbable other life, richer, more united and in communion with the invisible and the mystery of things, you multiply your pious wishes and declarations of universal love at the risk of depersonalizing yourself, of losing any sense of your individuality. You pray for a miracle when you have to make strong decisions to change the course of things.

Dissonant Uranus-Pluto aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Uranus ‘rT’ ↔ Pluto ‘tT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Pluto dominates : you are supremely indifferent vis-à-vis any system, any ideological construction, even when it comes to the most beautiful and strong conceptions that the imagination has been able to produce and intuition to generate. Possessed by a black despair, a radical skepticism or an absolute lucidity, you abdicate all intransigent voluntarism, all frenzied individualism. You place yourself radically elsewhere, profoundly foreign to the struggles for power waged by the champions of ideologies or mobilizing programs. Relentless, insufferable, terribly silent or hideously critical, you refuse to engage powerfully in anything. You prefer the agonizing complexities of complete chaos to any ordering, unless you are the voiceless witness, unheard because unheard, of another invisible order, fossil memory of the past or intuition of a very distant future.

Les significations planétaires

par Richard Pellard

620 pages.
