Neptune
Dissonant neptunian aspects (non-dominant Neptune)
by Richard Pellard
English translation by Julien Rouger

The interpretation examples that we are suggesting are very far from being exhaustive : they only show and outline a general frame describing the issues of the aspect. They should therefore not be taken literally. Each being brings indeed its own responses, more or less original, to the questions raised by an aspect. There is no magic formula. Through using the R.E.T. and the Theory of Ages and combining logic, observation and imagination, you will be able to develop a thousand other possible meanings, a thousand other variations on the same theme.

Dissonant Neptune-Moon aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Moon ‘p’ ↔ Neptune ‘eT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when the Moon dominates : you seek to protect the reassuring “bubble” of your habits, your familiarities, your cozy routines against the eruption of any existential groundswell. You are afraid of finding yourself the toy of unforeseeable circumstances, of being upset and upset by an internal or external swell that would undermine the reassuring habits and customs of your intimate universe. You prefer to cut yourself off from your receptivity to the strange, the subtle, the underlying, rather than having to listen to your inner voices, which you consider to be dangerous sirens. Moods disturb you intimately. You worry about incomprehensible situations, about the deep eddies that agitate your sensitivity, seeing in them so many threatening enemies for the primary and satisfied peace of mind that you prefer to make your daily bread.

Dissonant Neptune-Sun aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Sun ‘rR’ ↔ Neptune ‘eT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when the Sun dominates : Barricaded in a formal logic, anxious to lose your reassuring certainties and points of reference, you fear above all the manifestations of the unknown, the siren song or the appearance of chimeras. To remain a model of clarity and rigor, you cut yourself off from your deep sensitivity, remain stubbornly deaf to the tenuous signals of the unconscious, to the confusing intuitions that sometimes cross you. You are afraid of seeing the vigilant and heightened awareness that you have of your individuality dissolve into the unnameable and shifting reality of your internal complexities. You oppose your simplistic convictions to the subtlety of the experienced, of the feelings, which seem to you too vague and uncertain to be worthy of confidence and attention. You tense up on a known that you identify with the rational to ward off the threatening irrationality of beings and things.

Dissonant Neptune-Mercury aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Mercury ‘tR’ ↔ Neptune ‘eT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Mercury dominates : you spend your time indulging in a thousand hazardous speculations, idle hypotheses and messy investigations. You blithely confuse the wanderings of your overly prolix imagination with the sure revelations of the unconscious. Unstable, dispersed, without a point of fixation, you lack clairvoyance and do not take into account the demands of your deep sensitivity, the demands of your instinct, the warnings of your intuition. You clown around to ward off the moods that bother him, multiply encounters and futile or anecdotal curiosities to avoid having to face the murmurs and rumblings of your heart, which you stubbornly refuse to take seriously. You have fun or are stupidly ironic about the manifestations of the strange, the paradoxes of life, the inexplicable phenomena that you take for artifice, which does not prevent you from telling nonsense.

Dissonant Neptune-Venus aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Venus ‘eR’ ↔ Neptune ‘eT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Venus dominates : you see the spontaneous outbursts of your heart parasitized by your disturbing fantasies, disturbing chimeras, sudden whims coming from you don’t know where. You live your likes and dislikes, likes and dislikes epidermally to your heart and soul, unable to discern, in the muddle of your affects and emotions, what is delirium or a real perception of beings and things. Your naive desires lead you into confused and ambiguous affective situations. Barely satisfied, your capricious wishes always leave you with a disturbing and exasperating scent of incompleteness, as if the real pleasure was located in a quivering but inaccessible elsewhere. Unpredictable moods and inner turmoil that agitate you unpredictably interfere with the expression of a simple and cloudless joie de vivre.

Dissonant Neptune-Mars aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Mars ‘eE’ ↔ Neptune ‘eT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Mars dominates : you spend your time acting impulsively, recklessly, almost as if you were running headlong and without a compass into a thick, dense fog. Living at close range, riveted to the here and now, you do not listen to the movements of your deep sensitivity, the warnings that your intuition whispers to you. Your brutal and down-to-earth realism, cut off from the imaginary, has nothing to do with manifestations of the strange, subtleties, chiaroscuro situations. You indulge in your mechanical activities to combat your lack of inspiration, soul, inner richness. You aggressively brandish your personal experience against any form of collective solidarity, which you feel is a threat to your freedom to act in your own way. You bravely and needlessly fight ghostly windmills.

Dissonant Neptune-Jupiter aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Jupiter ‘rE’ ↔ Neptune ‘eT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Jupiter dominates : in the name of simplistic common sense, you deny any reality to the manifestations of the strange. You conform so well to the laws and norms that regulate the life of your social group that you forget to listen to your moods, your inner voices, your deep sensitivity. And at the limit, it is without shame or qualms that you indulge in your craving for gloriole, for material success, putting the management of your personal interests above any feeling of collective solidarity. You impose yourself and brag, overwhelming people, things and situations with your sweeping judgments, disregarding all nuance and all subtlety. Your short-sighted opportunism leads you, by dint of neglecting your intuitions, to lack clairvoyance, to neglect the presentiments that cross you.

Dissonant Neptune-Saturn aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Saturn ‘tE’ ↔ Neptune ‘eT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Saturn dominates : you are locked in an extremely critical skepticism vis-à-vis all the disconcerting manifestations of the unknown or the unconscious. The cold distance that you maintain with regard to your life and your experiences prevents you from taking into account the quiverings of your soul, from being receptive to the deep movements of your sensitivity. Your desiccating reason is in search of a hypothetical absolute of which you refuse to take into account the slightest emerging sign. You isolate yourself in a painful loneliness that forbids you any sharing, any collective communion, and you dive so well into the depths of beings, things and situations that you forget all human warmth, all expression of your tumultuous affectivity. You forbid your intuition to reveal anything of your inner explorations and investigations.

Dissonant Neptune-Uranus aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Uranus ‘rT’ ↔ Neptune ‘eT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Uranus dominates : you are the hostage of intuitively revealed certainties, clear-cut and dogmatic, which seem to prevent your thinking from any flexibility, any nuance, any subtle paradox, that is to say any approach to the deeply moving and chiaroscuro dynamics of the living. Your cavalier individualism, your intransigent voluntarism and your intolerant despotism render you incapable of any humble sharing, of any collective communion whatsoever. You want to emerge from the uncertain at all costs, to show yourself as a beacon in the fog. To do this you fight, with diktats, ukases or arbitrary theories, everything that in the field of your blinkers is assimilated to the vague, the imprecise, the undulating : the half-certainties of a living faith, adherence body and soul to what we do not understand, the mysteries of a universal and unnamable love.

Dissonant Neptune-Pluto aspect (conjunction, opposition, square)

Neptune ‘eT’ ↔ Pluto ‘tT’ Conjunction (consonant or dissonant aspect) Opposition (dissonant aspect) Square (dissonant aspect)

If and when Pluto dominates : you are hostage to an abyssal skepticism and a basic and radical indifference, to which all that is most tenuous and profoundly human is alien. The only thing that counts for you is the icy solitude of being in itself, of which no emotional or lived manifestation can testify to the deep and indescribable mystery. Your desperate and caustic lucidity undermines at the base the smallest hope of the emergence of something else, the slightest living faith which could dissipate the darkness, the most subtle tremors of other possibilities which would claim to incarnate. You are elsewhere, in an extra-personal dimension which forbids you even to the vital minimum, the tiniest quantity of feeling of living, the “I don’t know what and almost nothing” which makes you exist all the same and despite everything. You have no refuge but the seat of the universal spirit or your untranslatable certainty that tomorrow will sing radically different music.

Les significations planétaires

par Richard Pellard

620 pages.
